An intimate countryside wedding...
The Old Rectory is fully licensed for civil weddings and civil partnerships in our elegant Gala Hall, with seating for up to 78 guests. A civil ceremony allows more scope for imagination than a church service. Whether it’s a furry friend delivering the rings or a traditional ring bearer, you can turn it into something really special.
Your ceremony can be carried out by Shaw House registrar or can be personalised to suit your style by choosing a celebrant. If you don't already have someone in mind, we have two recommended celebrants on our hand-picked suppliers page.
A celebrant is an independent individual who is trained in providing you with a custom made ceremony designed to celebrate any 'right of passage' in a way which is personal to you, without legal obligation or government restriction. There are very few limitations as to what can be included in a celebrant wedding ceremony.
Making dreams into reality
Our expert team and handpicked suppliers will turn your dream wedding vision into a reality, whatever that may be. The Gala Hall’s décor is a modern-classic muted palette designed to compliment any special theme, whether you choose to fill it with flowers, or take a minimalist approach.
