Creating memories to last a life-time

Whether your wedding is for a select few, or for many, The Old Rectory is the perfect venue. We host weddings on Saturdays between April and October.

Begin your day getting ready in our charming courtyard lodge. Walk down the aisle in our Gala Hall surrounded by your loved ones and indulge in a delicious wedding breakfast in our gorgeous glass Orangery. Later, dance the night away in our transformed Gala Hall and unwind with family and friends in our lounge area, with plenty of drinks and cocktails flowing from our in-house Oak Bar. After the party, get some well-needed rest in our honeymoon suite, plus five beautiful bedrooms for your nearest and dearest.

Getting ready

The house is alive with wedding fever!

Begin your day getting ready in our charming Courtyard Lodge with your nearest and dearest from 9.00am, pre-order from our in-house bar and pour a glass of fizz to settle your wedding ceremony jitters! You can also help yourselves to our complimentary tea, coffee and juice, so sit back and relax whilst all the final preparations come together.

Your ceremony

An intimate countryside wedding…

The Old Rectory is fully licensed for civil weddings and civil partnerships in our elegant Gala Hall, with seating for up to 78 guests. A civil ceremony allows more scope for imagination than a church service. Whether it’s a furry friend delivering the rings or a traditional ring bearer, you can turn it into something really special.

Our expert team and handpicked suppliers will turn your dream wedding vision into a reality, whatever that may be. The Gala Hall’s décor is a modern-classic muted palette designed to complement any special theme, whether you choose to fill it with flowers, or take a minimalist approach.

Your reception

Once the vows have been spoken…

Grand or intimate, wedding receptions at The Old Rectory are personalised, not packaged. Our family run team offers a familiar, relaxed, and tailor-made service, right from your very first visit to your last twirl on the dancefloor.

Our private grounds are the perfect setting for your reception drinks, and whether it’s spring, summer or autumn, our gardens provide a colourful backdrop for photographs.

Choose to hire from our selection of stylish props and garden games to keep your guests entertained while you do your best poses for your photographer or sneak off for a few quiet moments alone.

Let the party begin

By day a romantic setting for your wedding ceremony, at night our Gala Hall can transform into a timeless disco.

The choice is yours; you might opt for a live band, DJ or create your own playlist with our in-house Sonos music system. Our garden is a lovely backdrop for acoustic music such as a harpist or string quartet.

Whether you wish to dance the night away in our Gala Hall, capture that “spark” with a late-night sparkler shoot in our gardens or simply relax with a glass of champagne in our stunning Orangery, anything is possible.
